Dedicated citrus presses will give a much better quality of juice and are far easier to use for citrus than a conventional fruit and vegetable juicer because you don’t have to peel the oranges first. This Citri-Star, from the makers of the Green Star and Z-Star juicers, makes short work of juicing oranges.
As you push a half orange down onto the reaming cone, the cone starts to spin and extract juice. The reaming cone has two clever ‘fins’ at its base that help to strain the juice through the stainless steel pip-strainer below. The juice then flows through the stainless steel spout which has a handy ‘pop-up’ feature to prevent dripping when you finish juicing. Clean up takes seconds and there’s a handy dust cover so you can leave it out ready for daily use.
